When’s the last time you looked at your website? I mean actually, really looked at it: read the copy, looked at the images, considered the layout, etc. Was it when you first had it designed? Was it a few months ago? Maybe even years ago?

In this day and age, the web is your primary source of marketing. You simply can’t let it fall by the wayside if you want to run a successful and profitable business. If it’s been awhile since you’ve thoughtfully considered your site, then it may be time for a makeover to ensure you’re getting the most from your web presence.

Take a few minutes today and go over your site. Specifically, you should look at:

Its accuracy – Does your website still accurately portray your company? Are the services and prices listed still correct? Are all the employees/contacts still on staff? Does every link work? Take time to go through every inch of content on your site to ensure it’s up to date with the most current, accurate information. The more inaccurate, incorrect information you have on your site, the more out-of-touch and untrustworthy you will look to your customers.

Its history – When was content last updated? Design? If it’s been two years or more, it’s time for a refresher – especially if you have regular, recurring customers visiting your site. You don’t like to look at the same thing every day, do you? Your customers don’t either. Give them something fresh, something exciting and something new to look at – both design-wise and content-wise, and keep them interested in your brand. As an added plus, fresh content also helps your SEO, so you could see improved search engine rankings once you do this!

Its look – When was your site designed? Are there outdated elements on it, like flash intros, auto-playing music or animated backgrounds? Have you changed out images and photos recently? If it’s been a while since your site was designed, chances are it’s not just boring to your customers, it’s also terribly out of date style-wise. Web trends change quickly (as can technology) so failing to update your site’s look can have big consequences. Make sure your images, graphics and overall design are on point with current trends. This will allow you to look professional and make the biggest impact possible on potential customers.

Its mobile friendliness – With the popularity of smartphones nowadays, the bulk of your web visits aren’t coming from a standard laptop or desktop computer anymore – they’re coming from mobile phones. Unfortunately, if your site wasn’t designed in the last couple of years, it’s unlikely that it will display correctly in a mobile browser, meaning your potential customers will experience loads of problems when they try to visit your site. In the end, it could result in lost customers and, what’s worse, lost sales.

If your site’s out of date, stale or not mobile friendly, it’s time to consider a makeover to ensure you’re getting the most bang for your buck. Contact Steadfast Creative today to discuss your web revamp needs!
